It now costs me approximately £20 more to fill up my car with unleaded than it did when I bought the car two years ago.
How long before it really comes to this?

People are buying scooters here at a record pace. Of course when winter arrives in Minnesota a scooter is not going to work. WE need more public transportation here and I think the fuel crunch may push that forward, at least I hope it does.

Ouch! even in India its getting expensive( it sounds cheaper when converted to pounds) its approx 60 Rupees which is 0.712757 GBP or 1.39$ per Liter -

Talk about the rape of consumers. WE produce the bloody stuff and paying $1.31 a litre for it. As the summer long weekends approach, the usual price increases will commence.

i run a diesel motor and my local garage is selling it for 133.9p a litre.
so i think your cartoon may well come true very soon.
